Translation
We offer translation services in 175 languages. Our translators only translate into their mother tongue. They also have specialist subject knowledge so they can combine linguistic knowledge with subject knowledge. This ensures the highest quality result.
Our process
When a translation assignment first comes in, a dedicated and experienced project manager will assess it to establish:
- the languages involved
- the subject matter
- the end use
- the schedule.
They will then assign the work to one of our fully qualified and vetted translators. This translator, who will have knowledge and expertise in the subject matter, will undertake the translation.
Once the translation has been completed, it will be quality checked. If appropriate, it will also be proofread and edited.
Finally, the completed translation will be returned to the client on time, on budget and in the agreed format.
Paying for translations online
You can order and pay for translation work online. Get a quotation using our online system, approve the costs and schedule, and pay online. It couldn’t be simpler or more efficient.
Urgent work
Sometimes, translation work is required urgently. We understand this. Generally speaking we can undertake this work with no extra charge. Occasionally, for projects that require overnight or weekend work, we may need to charge an urgency rate. We would always agree this with you in advance.
Translations to be published
For any translation to be published, we strongly recommend a separate proofreading stage. This should be undertaken by a linguist other than the original translator. For more information on this service, visit our proofreading page. You may also require the translation to be typeset from scratch or to fit in a particular layout. This is available via our typesetting service. Should you require it, we also offer an editing service in all languages.
