Our experienced transcriptionists can supply either a verbatim transcript or a summary of a meeting, conversation or interview.
Much of our work involves the transcription of court tapes, police interviews, immigration interviews and solicitor/client meetings, but we also produce transcripts for film/TV companies, human resource departments, pharmaceutical companies, financial companies, market research companies and a host of other market sectors.
Working in English plus over 150 other languages, our transcriptionists can produce verbatim transcripts where every word is recorded, or, if more appropriate to your needs, they can produce a summary document which excludes any unnecessary information. If working from video or movie files, time codes can be included.
All our transcriptionists are contractually bound to remain confidential, but we are happy to sign additional non-disclosure agreements if required.

PACE transcription services
Knockhundred offers a PACE (Police and Criminal Evidence Act) transcription service. The source audio for these transcriptions is from interviews under caution and some police interviews. Our clients include local authorities, specifically benefit fraud investigations, and solicitors across the UK dealing with both civil and criminal law cases.
Forensic audio and audio cleaning
Knockhundred transcribes interviews, research exercises, business events, conference speeches and we offer transcription for academic institutions. On some occasions, for a variety of reasons, the source audio is of poor quality. Much of our work involves the transcription of court tapes, police interviews, immigration interviews and solicitor/client meetings. We also regularly transcribe large audio files from disciplinary cases for several local authorities.
In order to maximise audibility and ensure accurate transcriptions, we offer a forensic audio service. Working from our in-house studio, this service is useful for the analysis of covert recordings or when an original recording requires "cleaning" prior to transcription. We also have the ability to interrogate and analyse audio further and are able to offer a forensic audio service where recordings need to be resurrected, clarified or repaired.
Formats
We can handle just about any format including CD, DVD, MiniDisc, Hi-MD, tape, video and most digital sound files including wav, MP3, aif, aiff and Real Audio etc. Please bear in mind that the better the quality of the audio, the faster and more accurate the transcription will be.
Getting files to us
Files under 8MB can be emailed to us. If your audio files are large, we have a dedicated system to handle large files securely. Files over 500MB can also be sent to us on CD or DVD. For further details, please contact us.
