Social services in Sussex use interpreters
Much of our interpreting work in Sussex and other counties relate to matters concerning child welfare, whether it be court interpreting work in a child contact case, at an immigration interview, in a solicitor’s office or for a local authority.
We also often involved in the translation of case notes in languages as diverse as French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Arabic, Bengali, Punjabi, Romanian and Russian.
West Sussex County Council is facing a big child welfare issue at the moment and is appealing for more foster carers, especially those from different ethnic groups. According to the Mid Sussex Times, as many as one in six children over the last year are from ethnic minorities. The Council is looking for carers from Asian or Asian British Indian backgrounds, Bangladeshi and Pakistani, Chinese, Irish, East European, mixed backgrounds, Black Caribbean and Black or Black British African.
If you can help, do please get in touch with the Council directly, as I’m sure they would be keen to hear from you.
