Community Interpreting Courses

One of our Community Interpreting courses is about to come to an end and so I went to the last session to meet all the students again – and to say goodbye.  We had a really bright and talented group of potential community interpreters on this course.

They showed real dedication too as they had to give up 10 Saturdays in order to attend – not to mention numerous evenings beavering away at their assignments.  All this to become a professional interpreter.  I am hoping to meet them again at the award ceremony in October, by which time I hope they’re all out there interpreting.

We’re really pleased, as one of the students from the course is going to join Knockhundred for 3 months gaining work experience.  I suspect you’ll hear all about her and how she’s getting on in our news items.
