Work placements

Knockhundred Translations offers work placements to students of all nationalities.  Students are offered full training and integration into the company, a chance to observe and participate in a professional translation environment and to get involved in the day-to-day running and activities of a small, but busy translation company.

Please note that unless the student already possesses suitable translation qualifications, we would not be able to offer translation experience during the placement.

We can only take on full-time students for a minimum period of 2 months. If you would be interested, please contact us. 

Freelance linguists and agencies

If you are a freelance linguist or another translation company and would like to work with us, we would be interested in applications covering any of the following services:

• Translation
• Braille
• Brand name linguistic analysis
• Editing
• Interpreting (consecutive, BSL, court, SSE, telephone, simultaneous, equipment, whispered)
• Language teaching
• Large print
• Lip speaking
• Localisation
• Proofreading
• Speech to text/Palantype

• Subtitling
• Training (Trados, Voiceover, Subtitling)
• Transcription
• Typesetting
• Voiceover

Please note that we can only accept CVs written in English. Please include contact details (including email addresses) of 3 professional referees for whom you have completed paid work in the area of your application. Please also note that we will need to hear back from your referees before we are able to consider your application.

We can only accept applications from professional suppliers who are qualified in their field and/or can demonstrate wide and up-to-date experience.
